Men should take stand to end abuse
AS we observe the 16 days of Activism against women and child abuse we know that women out there are emotionally drained due to recurring abuse in their homes,at work places in schools and in the streets,we currently living in a society where women and children’s right are being violated and trampled by men who are supposed to love them.
We need to acknowledge that poverty, inequality and high rate of unemployment are the bleeding ground for abuses, men should be discouraged from causing violence to women and children because women and children are always on the receiving end to these abuses just because they are vulnerable.
When a woman is raped the pain is too much to bear because they are not only hurt physically but their trust in men is completely eroded.
Most victims of violence are left with permanent scars which takes time to heal.A child’s natural sense of trust and love get stolen and can be difficult to restore.
A challenge to all men is to urge them to denounce women and children abuse and to fight abusive tendancies.
The government, the judiciary and communities all should join hands and fight to uproot these ills
